My Favourite Assignment
My favourite assignment so far is my name plate. This was my favourite assignment to do, and it was also the assignment I am most content with and proud of. I liked this assignment for many reasons. First of all it was enjoyable to complete. I also put in a lot of hard work into the design and finished name plate. I learned a lot from this project, like how to get around the limitations of softwares, and how to troubleshoot and recover when a program is not working. I also thought that my final product turned out well.
Maths
I'd like to show you a word problem in my math book, which I later did with a group on a piece of chart paper. This is noteworthy because it shows a way for me to improve in this subject. In my math book, I came up with a plan for solving problem. We then tried to replicate that diagram and work through it on the chart paper. We eventually got to a diagram that made sense and got the answer. The problem was that we didn't know what that answer meant. By the time we realised it was the answer it was too late. This is something I think I have improved on since, and will continue in an effort to improve.
In Language, I would like to share with you my third reading response. The question asked was do you think people are too dependent on phones? When I started this one, I made sure to use an organiser, because one of the mistakes I made last time was to include more than one answer, and not organise it well. When I got the mark back, I realised that while I had organised and stuck to one topic, I still needed to connect my ideas better. This is now something I will work on in upcoming projects.

My Best Work (so far)
I feel that my best work so far is my nameplate. As I mentioned before, I worked very hard on this nameplate. I crafted it precisely and think it turned out very well. Another reason why this is my best work is because art isn't a subject I always do well in. But regardless of a lack of natural talent, I still was able to make something I was very happy with.
Improvement |
Blue Gold Reflection |
One area of improvement for me is writing. Evidence of this is my blue gold reflection. From the rubric handed back with feedback, I realised I needed to improve on writing topic and introductory sentences. I need to take out evidence from the topic sentence, and get more to the point. I can practice this by writing more, and crafting better introductory sentences, as well as working on my summarising skills.
Strengths and Weaknesses
One strength of mine is responsibility. I show this by working on my work independently and finishing it. I am always prepared for class. If I have to go for something or am not in class, I make sure I catch up on the work. Proof of this is the vaccination day and library council days. One weakness of mine is organisation. I sometimes keep my binder out of organisation and forget to update my calendar and agenda. I can do this by cleaning out my binder every week, and adding notifications to my calendar applications, possibly getting a new agenda.
Term 1 Goal
My term 1 goal was to practice art concepts from class on my own time. While I have been attempting this goal, I have tried completing it a little differently then setting out. The main way I have been making art is through a project I have been working on. This project is a art for a Pokémon fan trailer. I have been trying to practice art with this, but I feel I need to use more concepts from class.
